A fund is available to start up businesses in Aberdeenshire by offering grants of:
- £1,000 – if there is no business premises
- £3,000 – if taking on premises
This scheme has been funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Eligibility and criteria
Refer to guidance notes for full eligibility and criteria, but in general businesses:
- Must be a sole trader, partnership or limited company
- Must be based within the Aberdeenshire Council area since 1st October 2024
- Have to be engaged with the Business Gateway service and have a named advisor
- Can only apply for this grant once
