Are you a developer, researcher, designer, educator, or community leader building open-source tools, resources, or events for the Ethereum ecosystem? The Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) is offering:
Small Grants – up to $30,000 USD
Who should apply?
- Projects in early stages—proof-of-concept, experiments, or pilot phases
- Experimental or “out-there” ideas with potential impact
- Community-driven events like workshops, hackathons, meetups focused on Ethereum tech
Process:
- Fill out an online application form
- ESP team reviews, may conduct an interview or suggest rescoping/budget tweaks
- Successful applicants enter KYC and sign a grant agreement
- Work begins with milestone-based payments and ongoing support
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Projects must benefit Ethereum and align with ESP’s mission
- Outputs must be open-source or freely available
- For-profit teams welcome, but funded work must be non-commercial
- Applicants can be individuals, teams, institutions—all backgrounds encouraged
Ineligible:
- Anything illegal where it’s being built
- Financial/trading products, token launches, fundraising rounds
- Purely art or charity work outside the scope of Ethereum ecosystem building
