Overview

The scheme supports community-driven, innovative civil society initiatives that promote sustainable development, cultural exchange, and social equity across the region.

  • Grant Funding Level: Grants cover up to 85% of total project costs, up to a maximum award limit of €4,600 per selected project (the remaining 15% must be covered by co-funding or self-financing).

  • Project Delivery Window: Selected projects must be implemented between September 2026 and June 21, 2027.

  • Cross-Cutting Evaluation Priorities: Proposals showing high priority on Gender Equality (Gender Marker) and Regional Integration (particularly projects involving partners in French overseas Caribbean territories like Martinique, Guadeloupe, or French Guiana) receive higher evaluation weighting.

Location & Target Sectors
  • Geographic Scope: Open strictly to civil society entities operating within the 11 countries covered by the SCAC:

    • Eastern Caribbean / OECS: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

    • Greater & Wider Caribbean / South America: Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, and Guyana.

  • Target Priority Sectors:

    • Ocean & Marine Health: Marine conservation, coastal resilience, and biodiversity protection.

    • Sustainable Agriculture: Local food security and eco-friendly farming practices.

    • Cultural & Creative Industries (CCI): Artistic, heritage, and creative sector initiatives.

    • Youth Support & Sports: Youth development, social inclusion through athletics, and skill-building.

    • Women's Empowerment & Francophonie: Promoting gender equality and French language/cultural connections.

Eligibility CriteriaWho Can Apply?
  • Entity Types: Open to legally recognized, non-governmental civil society organizations (including non-profit associations, NGOs, and community cooperatives).

  • Exclusions: Commercial for-profit businesses, state agencies, and individual applicants are ineligible for direct funding.

  • Co-Financing Capability: Must be capable of securing at least 15% match funding for the overall project budget.
