The Health & AI Accelerator 2026 is a 24-week program led by Turn.io, with support from partners like the Endless Network, ElevenLabs, and Anthropic. It is designed to help primary healthcare organizations in the Global South build and scale AI-powered chat and voice services via WhatsApp to improve patient care.

The program is highly competitive and targets organizations already operating at scale.
1. Organizational Readiness
Target Region: Primarily organizations delivering healthcare across the Global South.
Existing Scale: Ideally already serving 10,000+ users with a live digital service (even if not yet AI-powered).
WhatsApp Requirement: You must have a live WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) on the WhatsApp Business Platform (API) by the time the program begins.
Technical Maturity: Proven experience rolling out digital tools to real users in the field.
2. Team Commitment
Personnel: Requires a Business Lead (strategic focus) and a Technical Lead (hands-on implementation).
Time: Commitment to the 24-week program, including attending virtual sessions and dedicating 1–2 hours daily to building the demo.
3. Priority Use Cases The accelerator prioritizes services addressing:
AI-powered triage and symptom checking.
Community health worker tools and decision support.
Medication adherence and chronic disease management (HIV, TB, Diabetes).
Maternal and child health (immunization reminders, postnatal follow-up).
Mental health and psychosocial support.
The 24-week journey is divided into three phases:
Onboarding & Implementation (Weeks 1-8): Design sprints, baseline measurement, and core service prototyping.
Testing & Validation (Weeks 9-16): Live deployment, A/B testing, and refining the business model based on real-world data.
Scaling & Sustainability (Weeks 17-24): Finalizing go-to-market strategies and presenting at Demo Day to funders.
